☕ South Indian Filter Coffee
Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp freshly ground coffee powder (preferably chicory blend)
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup whole milk
- Sugar to taste
Instructions:
- Fill your LA' FORTE Electric Kettle with water and heat to the perfect temperature (not boiling - around 90°C for optimal extraction)
- Place coffee powder in the upper compartment of a South Indian coffee filter
- Pour the hot water from your LA' FORTE kettle slowly over the coffee powder
- Allow the decoction to drip slowly (15-20 minutes for best results)
- Use your LA' FORTE Electric Kettle again to heat milk until it comes to a gentle boil
- In a steel tumbler, add 2-3 tbsp of the coffee decoction
- Add sugar and mix well
- Pour the hot milk from the kettle, leaving some froth on top
- Pour the coffee between two containers 4-5 times to create the perfect froth
- Serve in traditional steel tumbler and davara
